quick ribbon cable question - help

the search tool seems to be down at the moment so just need a quick bit of help. the ribbon cable iin the steering wheel (one wrapped round the boss) has cracked and stopped the buttons working.

Have ordered a replacement one and came this morning from Douglas Valley, seems a little short though, only about 15" long. is this the right one or should it be much longer than that.

If the cable you want is the one that sits inside the Steering wheel boss, then it should be about 6 ft long.It sounds like you have the one that fits under the steering coloumn,

That seems wrong.The one for the steering wheel buttons wraps around the steering boss and goes on forever.

many thanks, have taken the one from the steering wheel and indeed it is massively long so was sent the wrong one.
