Track Day Recommendation

I am looking to do a track day, the sort where you turn up, get a car and get a few hours with a instructor on the circuit.
I did the "Lotus Elise Experience" at Donnington a few years back and enjoyed it as you were allowed to give the cars full moo and the track is bloody excellent.
This time I want to spend about £150 but dont mind in what car but preferably a track in or around the Midlands (silverstone, donnington, mallory, plus any airfields)
I have heard of experiences where you are limited to speed/revs of the cars and that does not appeal. I want something like the Elise where you can use it too its full potential.
Does anyone have any experiences or recommendations then?

Here are my thoughts: hope you find something useful.
Elises at Silvertstone. In fact any "experience" at Silverstone - the instructors are there to preserve the car (rightly!) but do provide some encouragement to make some progress. I found the number of laps you got unacceptably low. In fact...the whole experience was designed about using up as much time as possible that wasn't actually lapping on the circuit. Pah!
Thruxton: MUCH better Elise course. 14 laps (instead of about 10). It still goes by very quickly.
A lot more expensive (but much better!) is to rent a track car from bookatrack. You pay for the Track Day too - as well as the car - but the cost can be split across two people. They throw in instruction (partially to check you aren't going to smash their nice car) but afterwards you have the car to yourself to lap and lap and lap and lap.
I can highly recommend them. I did this recently at Brands Hatch and will most definitly be doing it again.
Having said that - its probably suited to someone with enough track experience to be happy going on track without instruction. They don't cone the track like many of the schools do. But if you've had enough instruction to be safe out there by yourself - its the best option IMO.
