I don't know if anyone has posted this already but I think this is great news!!

I do feel sorry for some of the young up and coming drivers but I don't think anyone can argue with McRae's speed, car control and showmanship!!

Good luck Colin!

Great, but will he and Nicky still be talking at the end of the Rally ?

As the Citroen is a proven top class car he is expected to go fast, no excuses. I think we will be disappointed with his lack of speed. Its good to see him back in the WRC though.

Excellent news - but don't forget, we may not see his true speed - Citroen still want to win the manufacturer's crown and as such are bound to ask him to drive for points

It'll be a shame if the drivers title is decided because Loeb misses the rest of the season; he deserves to win it.

They recently did a round of the irish rally championship on tarmac in a 6R4, to say the pair enjoyed themselves is an understatment, they also dominated the event and obliterated the oposition
Despite what happened a few years ago the pair still work together for fun

When McRae drove for Skoda last year, he pretty much put the previous Skoda drivers to shame, and gave the top-running drivers some good nips at their heels.

I'm sure he will perform well, but probably will not run all the way at the front.

good news, he'll do well, may not win it, but top 3 easily.

for once ( in recent times) i'll be glued to the rally results...

maybe if stands in on another event, he has the chance to win back the most winningest driver accolade..?

This is excellent news!

I wonder if the arm can stay broken until the Wales GB rally next month, lets hope so. I'd definitely get up at 4am and drive to Wales to see him competing again.

According to Motorsport News, it could be 4 months before Loeb is recovered enough to drive competitively again.

Will it matter, how they can understand each others accents is beyond me.

i think that's a bit of wishful thinking on MN's part, probably paid for by the RAC, in order to sell a few tickets for the rac, on the back of a mythical Mcrae appearance.

Loeb would of had to have severedhis hand off to need that long to recover... its fortunate that he has a big points lead, that he can take a cautious approach to his recovery... i seem to remember Colin competing a few weeks after busting his face in a crash in corsica.

they're a bit feeble these frogs..

i expect Loeb to be back in Oz, especially if Gronholm wins in Turkey.

Yeah wasnt Colin trapped in the car by his head as well !!! the rollcage bending and trapping his helmet!!

with the money in the sport and the sort of treatment he'll be getting he'll be up and running in no time...

Dangerous things bicycles. I'm surprised the government is so supportive of them.

My shoulder damage from a Feb 2005 low speed cycling incident is still not completely fixed and may never be right. And riding that day was, to some extent, part of my low key approach to retaining some fitness. Such irony.

Hopefully Loeb will be in a better position to recover than I was - fitter and younger for a start - but it should be good to see Colin back in a top class car again.

Remember 3/4 years ago Colin bust up his pinkie finger and maybe wouldn't be able to grip the wheel strong enough come the next rally,he suggested just cut the offending digit off.......!!

That'll go down in rallying legend will that - true dedication (if maybe a little foolish)
