What is the front stub axle from?
Discussion
a bent stub axle alone cannot result in brake judder only rotating parts or a siezed caliper or carrier or buckled hub(very unlikely) can cause judder.
bent stub axles would cause the pads to wear unevenly and also warp the disc which causes the nodding dog you mention as the disc and hub would not be square with the caliper which tries to flex the disc when you brake.
if you fit new pads you will notice this more and the pedal will feel lower or/and softer as the disc pushes the pads back too far when the brakes are released.
its very likely you will need disc and pads aswell, sorry.

Obviously someone has tw*tted a kerb or something at one point or another, easy in snow or ice or just hooning around, done it myself in the past. Its not wildly out of shape, dont forget my discs are as big as the standard wheels, almost. You could not even see it on the puny discs before.However/discs calipers are under 250 miles old so not knackered just yet, brake dust build up on the offending wheel is happening though so want to straighten things up before i do machine the disc to a wibbly shape.
