A glowing report on page 39 of this weeks autocar it features the saggy but says tvr is listening to customers and the speed six is a great engine and does not need any improving. Verdict; Extra attention to detail takes hardcore Sagris to greatness. 4/5

It always bugs me when I see TVR getting hard press. It p1sses me off to be frank.

Journos normally go OTT, even when there are the tinyest of 'issues' found with TVR's.

Its refreshing to see some positive press this time.

I don't hold with the theory that all publicity is good publicity. I think good publicity is good publicity , so lets hope there is now a flow of this kind of report and we can get away from having to answer stupid questions from our mates who know nothing about TVR.

They still managed to get the old "smells like glue" chestnut tucked into that article though.

Plus a through away line, that they didn't expect TVR to be around for much longer.

there was a similar statement about TVR not being around for much longer in last weeks ask Goodwin column. i can't remember him saying anything remotely positive about TVR recently.
i thought this weeks Sagaris article was a good read though! just goes to show that it isn't all doom and gloom and that there is a lot to be positive about.

Anybody or any business that has the nerve to do anything different always gets criticised by people with no imagination.
People are so obsessed with sanitised and sterilised brands with any flaws (and intersting features) ironed out.

It's only an insecurity thing. Much easier to say "I own an Audi" than "I own a TVR" - that's a bit radical and might be contentious.
"Gosh, what if people don't agree with my purchase and criticise me - whatever Will I do?

I generally find that the interesting journos like TVRs - the dull ones don't.
Same with the general public really...

I really don't get this little nugget that Clarkson has used too. My Tivs have never smelt of glue at all.

The only comments I get from the wife is that I come home smelling of leather combined with whiff of petrol fumes!

Certainly better than her noticing that I whiff of perfume I guess...

Same here. In fact the leather smell seems to last with TVR's whereas in most other 'new' cars, this seems to wear off in no time at all.

Yeah, that's true - must be something to do with using full-fat, non-PC cows that does it.

Or perhaps TVR do actually use leather while everyone else wimps out and uses mostly false stuff.

Where? I've just been out and bought the mag and read the article and nowhere does it say anything remotely like that at all.

On the contrary the last paragraph reads;

On this evidence, TVR is making the steps needed to take the company forward, most importantly listening to feedback and working to provide the necessary solutions. It'll be a tough journey, but they've got the right attitude, and that s what counts.

It's bad enough that you choose to naysay at every opportunity Woodsy. But now you're starting to make stuff up as well?

Not sure, but there definitely has been recently. Perhaps in one of the columns. Definitely something along those lines.

Well this is a positive thread about an article in this weeks autocar. Because they said something flippant in a previous edition has no bearing on the positive message in this weeks edition.

Who wants yesterdays papers etc....

(And the implication of the comment "plus a throug (sic. Dyslexia? ) away line etc.." implies it was in that article which it wasnt.....

Is it impossible to have a positive thread about TVR on here without the trolls coming out of the Woodsywork?
