Hello Everyone

Does anyone know if the 100 amp fuse on the bottom of the chimaera which is attached to the big red cable and alternator, can affect the alarm system / central locking of the car???????

Only if it blows, stopping the battery charging and thus making it go flat...

Alarm/central locking problem? Check the normal spade fuses.

Hi there,
If your central locking is giving trouble, try checking the door switches are both ok as these can give rise to
some funny faults.
If the switches are a bit dodgy the alarm may think the door is still open and will therefore not set.
The switches are located in the sill near the rear edge of the door. A single self tapper holds them in.
Try pressing each one and see if you hear a click when pushed in.
Also check that on the door itself that the little rubber sticky pad is still in place where the button
meets the inner edge of the door.
If all else fails, you could try disconnecting the battery for 20 seconds or so and then reconnecting as the alarm
logic can get it's knickers in a twist from time to time and this will hopefully reset it.
Hope this helps,
Cheers
Paul.

No, it cannot. It can only prevent the battery from being charged. Which can then cause alarm problems as mentioned by theaxe.
