I've got a '95 106 XSi (1.6 8v), which I use on a daily basis. For this reason its now knocking on the door of 130,000 miles (gulp!). All in all though, it's a reliable little thing, but does seem to make oil disappear faster than a ferret up a drainpipe !

From inspection, it seems to be coming, or rather, going, from the rocker cover gasket, which I only replaced about 6 months ago ? Surely this can't be FUBAR already ? confused

Has anyone else had a similar problem, or know of any decent garages in the Solihull area (not main dealer).....?

Cheers folks !!

At a guess, I would say the there is a stuck breather valve someplace. Or the breather tubing itself is blocked.
This will cause the engine to burn more oil, and also crank case pressure will build up (in the rocker cover area too) and force out oil. Usually from the weakest point, which is often the rocker cover gasket as they are not usually very substantial things.
