JUST TOOK DELIVERY OF MY 996 TURBO, HAD ALL THE BM'S ETC, THIS IS THE BEST CAR I'VE HAD. DIDNT THINK YOU COULD CROSS COUNTRY SO QUICKLY!! ANYWAY IT HAS PCM1 AND THE RIGHT HAND SELECTOR BUTTON DOESNT WORK(THE ROUND ONE), WILL PUSH IN TO SELECT BUT WILL NOT SCROLL ANY OF THE MENU'S. HAS ANYONE OUT THERE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM, IF SO IS THERE A FIX?

I find hitting the 'Caps Lock' helps immensely.

Crap... didnt expect that one!

To be honest, more than it would cost you to get the dial fixed!

They're linked to the ECU as well, so you would need to get an OPC to pair them.

My first reaction would be OPC. They'll no doubt they'll take it out, send it far far away, and charge a fortune though so it's probably worth looking hard for a clever electrical chappy that can sort it.

Also, I opted to not have Sat Nav in mine as it's pants. I use a TomTom on the screen instead. You may find that's mildly annoying, but a good value workaround.

Two things; If you've got PCM in your car, you can fit another without OPC (i.e. swap it). Take the unit to bits (reasonably easy), get some contact spray (from Maplin, RS, etc) ; give it a squirt and hope for the best. more than likely crap on the contacts....

I changed the PCM for an aftermarket stereo, used prestige audio in rickmansworth and can thoroughly recomend them
