Diablo 'SE30' @ Specialist Cars
Discussion
Didn't we cover this a while back and this is a SE , not a SE30? Azwah's old car
www.specialistcarsgb.co.uk/car.php?car=528
Ok, so not going totally mad...
At the risk of offending someone (but not intending to) - I don't think that is an SE30:
i) The boot is of a GT (prossibly a Fibre Glass copy)
ii) The windows open all the way. SE30 had a tiny opening which opened within the glass area.
iii) The front bumper look doesn't look right to me - I seem to recall there is a Diablo replica maker (in Mitcham??) who was kocking these out a few years ago.....
Check this limk out (it is a SE30 Jota) - and check the price out.

There are other reasons why SE30 are a bit more hard work than a standard Diablo - however, they too are great cars, indicative of the marque and look great in Lambo purple (or was it pink ) And if you can get hold of a factory Jota - just stand behind the exhausts wearing jeans - and watch the unburnt petrol leave two round stains on your jeans. Just awesome!
Draw your own conclusions if your mate is selling a Diablo SE30, for the right money?

Anjum
It definitely isn't an SE30 - but to be fair I don't think it claims to be - there were a few different SE models they did before the 30. All that said I would have said that the mentioned SE is overpriced by a good 10k - though from discussion it would seem lots has eben done to it (like the bonnet). Oh, and damn that is an ugly colour unles that picis miles out
re: Jota. damn straight it's an awesome car and i love it...but mine is going as it just isn't getting used enough and it is now too hard work for me to be honest (yes I'm very, very, very, gay). Do NOT get a Jota model if you haven't decent diablo experience. dick all to do with sticking it in a hedge but everything to do with keeping it alive and running - they are temperamental and require muchos careful living with. I just want something (nealr) as exciting but that always does what you expect (clearly I'm old AND gay). Murci and Gallardo just don't do it yet for me excitement-wise (though LP640 v tempting)

Appologies for jumping in
Ive recently seen the light and now my long term plan is to trade up to a 'proper' car in the distant future
Ive just noticed my local sports car garage have this in stock www.havenmotors.co.uk/reg/4BSR7
96 Diablo SE. Is that price right? I only ask as a) I havent done any price checks at all (as I wont be buying for a year or so) and b) the general manager is a mate of mine and having sold 2 cars through him on SOR, I know what a greedy bar steward he is.
Im not planning on spending quite that much on a Diablo

Jon,
No this one isnt mine - my "old" one as detailed on that thread, was a 98 "R" and had about 40k miles on it now. The one in the advert says it was originally Yellow - whereas mine was the first Orange SV ordered.
Hmmm, does bear a striking resemblence to the car in the post tho
And if the clocks were read wrong i.e 40,000km not miles then 40km=25miles
How many cars would be orange, have the orange seat strips, SE30 bumper, split rim roadster wheels, SV air scoops?
If i'm wrong, wholehearted apologies - looks like a nice enough car ! Just not sure why you'd try to improve on perfection !

Jonny, I went and had a look at this car. It had a plaque behind the drivers seat that said it was an SE30 (not SE as I mistakenly put in the original post) and #143/150. The ICE was outstanding.
It is no longer (obviously) at my local garage.
Its been replaced by this
