OK, so it's only the front 1/4, but I like the look of that. Sort of more "future-retro" like the Camaro concept.

That's based on a photoshop that R&T had greacing their front cover but as I've found in the past when buying "SCOOP!" editions of forthcoming American cars, they're invariably wrong. The Corvette C6 one was total bollox, their rendition looked like a Fiat Coupe - but then thankfully GM did an even worse job and gave us the "it needs stoning" C6.

Still, it would make a lot of sense to do the nose in this way as the retro look is none too aerodynamic. I imagine what they've done here is to Camaroesque the Mustang styling cues.

Yeah, I remember seeing the "Fiat Coupe" Corvette rendering......I quite liked it, but it wasn't a Corvette by any stretch of the imagination!

I appreciate the chances of the Mustang looking like this are remote. We're talking up to six years ahead here, and by then who knows what the latest styling fashion will be. What ever happened to the good old days when Detroit would turn out a new style every year???!??

All I know is, if this was launched at the same time as the Camaro, it'd be a tough call as to which I prefer, especially as I've always been a Ford boy

Big difference is, the Camaro is a sure thing, and this Mustang is merely a figment of an artisits imagination.

Here's the 2009 rendering. Looks just like the GT500 to be honest, but nice all the same.

That 2009 convertible offering is awful IMHO. All bug-eyed and droopy.

Not all that different from the GT500

They're all photoshops and the rumour is the new Mustang is getting it's hips back so that's not likely to be very accurate.

I don't like the 07 at all. Can't wait for it to debut so the lovely 06 will tumble in price. I was going to save for an RS6, but I like the idea of a stang too lick

P.S Has anyone here imported a new or used stang? Is it best to do it yourself, use a USA dealer or UK one? I like the idea of a used one with low miles and some hefty tuning, or a special edition with 500 brake. Maybe next year...
