Bullet cam position on a Gayman Coxster
Discussion
I have been playing with the best position for a Bullet Cam on my Cayman, but not come up with anything particularly useful.
I did a fair bit of stuff on the wing here but the images included a lot of the wing. Have also tried on the roof, side windows, and on the rear wing (that's quite cool actually), but nothing that's really giving me what I want.
I would like to mount it somewhere on the front, but not hanging off a bit you can see (ie. I don't want to tape it to the top of the bonnet). It doesn't really have any air scoops that you can safely attach it to the inside of.
Has anyone got any suggestions?

I usually fit the cam behind the driver's left shoulder so the steering wheel, gear lever, instruments etc are in the field of view, you can also see the driver in the rear view mirror. In my V8S the best compromise between seeing the road and seeing things inside the car is with the camera pointing slightly sideways towards the driver so the 'straight ahead' position is about a third of the way across the field of view (if you see what I mean). I expect this would depend on the layout of the car, what lense you have etc.

Cheers Pete - that sounds pretty good advice. Unfortunately I forgot I had it and took no footage whatsoever!

Pikey - what type/spec is that cam - I'd like to get one for the M3 but there seems to be a fairly extensive price spread & spec.
I bought a Sony camcorder off eBay that had AV-in (essential feature for bullet cam). Camera's new cost was £400, but I bought it for £200. Model is about 12 months old. I bought the bullet cam from www.bikecameras.com. It was the lowest resolution model (380 lines) as I was going to compress it anyway. I bought the 'kit' and paid about £110. I reckon if I didn't want it, I could put the whole lot back on ebay for £300.
Ben
PS. There's a photography forum on PH where you'll find better advice.
