My son saw a crashed dark blue Cerbie M20 coastbound near Maidstone today, said it looked totalled.
Hope the people were OK. The weather conditions were awfull with lots of standing water in Kent today

Fingers crossed all are ok, tougher little buggers than you think these Cerbs but they are a bit twitchy in the wet .

It was me, many thanks! Really appreciate the posts!

I'm fine, was lucky to escape without injuries - apart from a broken heart. weeping Had my beautiful Tuscan for only a month. First time in my baby on the motorway in heavy rain and was being careful on my way to Dover, but still found myself spinning on a straight stretch of road...

Ironically I'd had to cancel an advanced driver's course a week earlier because of technical problems (first indicators failed then the clutch, then the remote, in the space of two days). Hope to climb back into my repaired/replaced Tuscan soon though for some damage-free driving pleasure!

Glad to hear you're OK Arajan, even if you're pride is somewhat dented, that'll fix a lot quicker than bones (or fibreglass) - we've all had our incidents so don't worry too much about it, these cars are beasts at the best of times.

Cheers Rob. It was an awful experience, but I still love the beast!

Arj,
Looks like I'll have to give the boy some lessons on the difference between a Tuscan and a Cerbie then, glad to hear that you are OK

Yep, nasty weather on friday. We were going up north and Sar wanted to leave early afternoon and I basically said not a chance in hell with the rain. We left around 3ish in the end and it had slackened off by then, but still coming down and lots of standing water around. I am always very cautious, not least because this is where I think the uber quick rack, heavily assisted steering is f**king lethal. You just cannot feel a damn thing through the front wheels.

We had to go out in the Cerb on Friday afternoon too, as we were going to a wedding there was no chance of leaving later.

Got overtaken by a small van which drove through a small lake and completely covered the screen, wipers took around 5 seconds to clear the mess, in which time my heartbeat has risen somewhat!

Thankfully nothing else, but certainly worrying enough.

In spite of being careful, I was taken by surprise just how sensitive the Tuscan is in the rain. Then again, my previous car was a Megane... I was driving in a straight line, without moving the steering wheel, yet suddenly started to spin. Just feel very lucky that nobody else was involved and that I walked away uninjured.

Just treat that accelerator with mucho respect. I tend to use hardly any gas to get myself moving once already up to speed. In the rain last night I was using one or two cms of pedal travel.
