HELP!!! BOXSTER HOOD PROBLEM
Discussion
Hi all,
I hope someone can help... We have had our 02 Boxster S for a week now and its been tucked away in the garage all week whilst at work.. We had the hood down last weekend with no problems at all, however whilst trying to get the hood down today it only lifts the passenger side hood cover up and leaves the drivers side down.. You can help it but its as if a cable or something is sticking/broken... You can power it back down and it closes down all neatly still but I have tried it a few times and it wont lift it as normal...
Any ideas most grateful...
Greg

Sounds like the gearbox is weak or damaged on the one side ...
if you lift up the back bow section and see in the middle that is where the motor is 1 motor and then 2x cables to the gearboxes in each side of the car for the roof..
it is more than likely that the gearbox is the problem ..are you in the north west area if so pop in and ill take a look.
