I am not sure it's not the same car.
BTW I had a really good look over that car about 6 years ago. I thought it was an ill thought out sack of sh*te TBH.

Aye, I'm pretty sure it's not the same car either, hence why I was wondering what this was about.
What was it about the earlier Blitz Supra that you didn't like?
What would you have done differently against that?
(btw, I ask this for the sake of the discussion - I don't know much about tuning Supra's!!)
The fuel system looked poor from memory, I have no knowledge of the Blitz turbo system so that may have been fine. It was the general way it was bolted together TBH. They had trouble getting it started too. Leon Green and I spent a fair bit of time looking it over. BTW it was only 3 years old at the time.
My apologies for reviving a really ancient thread, but we have a nice debate going on in America regarding the ultimate laptime established by this Blitz Supra. Being a Supra enthusiast, I'm quite pleased to know that they received credit for a 7:21 laptime at the Nurburgring, but it's pretty clear from that video that they set out to beat a 7:53 and achieved a 7:49. Can anyone help to shed some light on any faster laptimes that the Blitz Supra may have ultimately achieved?
Thanks so much.

If they acheived a 7.21 (which is fearsomely fast today, never mind 10 years ago) they would have let the whole world and it's mother know about it. IIRC they had an empty session and a ring regular driving so I don't see how they could lop off 30 seconds from an already fast lap time.
NOS! I need two of these, the big ones, and Harry....I need them by tonight!Gazboy said:

Off topic, but a road legal tuned (supercharged) CSL on road legal tyres did a 7:22.9 full lap (6:55 BtG) this week. Gazboy said:
What's the point, they ran the car in low boost anyway so they clearly didn't nead any more power.
Clearly the Fast and Furious quotes are now old enough to be missed as sarcasm
Regarding the road legal tuned CSL. There's little to no hope a Supra could match a CSL with that power on the ring. As a package, the CSL will always be better on the ring. The monster power available from the Supra engine in high tune is going to be a real battle to put down on a track as bumpy as that.
Thats before we visit the superior handling of the CSL.
Dont get me wrong, I dont want this to be seen as Supra bashing, I'm a big fan of the JZA80, but you have to be realistic about the potential of a car whose design intent was more of a GT than a sports car.
Edo are still 7:15 odd so in the lead. Loaded are hoping to go back in the new year and are aiming for 5-10 seconds off that time, assuming the charity auction for the car can stay open until march (is being auctioned at lowest unique bid at the moment).
