my rear number plate was stuck on with double sided sticky pads of some sort. it seems to have disappeared following my first really long run. is this mounting method normal, or should it really be bolted/ screwed into the plate covering the exhausts?

when i picked mine up it was stuck on - did not last long though - drilled the new number place and used nut and bolt each side to fix - (if you do this helps to use a cable tie on the end of the nut as the space is quite limited between the black place and the exhaust)on the black curved metal cover - still holding now

I've used the pads in the past and found them ok, Halfrauds sell them, just make sure you get the ones specifically for external/wet conditions.

gone through 3 number plates first 2 where glued on, now it is held on with the nut and bolt, much better.

bit weird after only a few weeks ownership to see a frenchman grinning at Arnage with your number plate above his head....took a few seconds to figure out what was going on.

new plate and short bolt/ nut combo it is then.

would be a great shame if a gataxo camera tried to take a couple of nice piccies of me without the plate!
