What a car! I have the biggest grin on my face after the first 150miles driving my new car back today. (See Profile)... After an hours driving on the motorway I pulled into the services for a quick toilet stop and noticed at idle a warning message came on. Fuel Sensor warning. Then when I pulled off it went off. I turned the car off and did my business when I returned the problem had gone. Carried on with my journey and after another 50 miles I stopped at a toll both and low and behold the same warning came on at idle and every time i started moving forward it went.

Should I be worried or is it something simple. I have a Wear and Tear warranty.

Any advice welcomed please.

Snapz sensors can go.I have been through four oil sensors. Take it to a dealer and they should sort it.Check out the sticky at the top for more info on common problems and their solutions.

You'll love the car even more as time goes by.Great colour by the way!

I shouldn't worry unduly.
Mine has the occasional spurious sensor waring (a/c fault 137 is a particular favourite)

As you have a wear and tear warranty, it's probably worth ringing the dealer though - just to check.

Fantastic car though - enjoy !!

Just don't forget to warm it up thoroughly before giving it some welly.

i have this when using the fun pedal in an enthusiastic manner!

apparently it's just the fuel gauge sensor. mine always clears when hitting the 2 buttons.

I had the same problem. Sender needed replaced. Cheap-ish repair.
Generally TVR electronics seem to be set up with a variable resistance sender feeding into a comparator/window comparator (those of you who've done electronics will know what I'm on about).
Normally all is well, and when say the fuel level gets low it reports fuel level 4l blah blah. If the voltage returned from a given sender/sensor is outside of a predefined range then it reports a sensor fault. So, any glitches/corroded connectors/busted sensors result in these reported sensor faults. Better fixed if a permanent feature. J
