E34 Dip Beam problem
Discussion
Sorry the search is down, or I would have tried that first...
The dip beams on my E34 1989 535i SE have started turning them selves off & on when driving. I guess it's just a relay but I'm a bit worried it could be more complex than that, because I noticed that if I put the side on lights when it's running the main dipp bulbs come on at a side light brightness (along wıth the upper side light bulbs) as well as coming on at their nomal full brightness wıth the swıtch all the way up. Also there is no fault indicated by the dash read out when they go off. The fact there is a fault sensor there also makes me think it's more complex than just a simple relay.
Can anyone help? If it is just a relay would it be one of those under the back seat?
On a seperate note can anyone tell me where or if there ıs a coolant drain plug in the block of the M30 engıne?
Thanks ın advance,
Andy
