Thanks Craig & team!! Awesome day once again.

Cracking day again. Only a few runs in the Aston as it did not like braking (or rather the driver didn't like the braking). 161 on my GPS which was good enough for a 165mph limited car.

Two short videos to sum up the day (taken on phone so apologies for the quality)

Thanks Craig- glad I came even though the car feels like it wants to kill me at 180. I hope it is only rear wheel balance as it has never felt the same since the last set of new rears

Thanks to all involved. I had a great day with a maximum of 153mph, not bad for a 2 door Omega :P

Good to see everyone and meet a few new faces. Seemed to be a really good turn out of a fair few new cars, nice one Craig.

However, a massive thanks to Doug for my first ride in a Lamborghini and also to David in the yellow RUF ... 197mph ... what a great experience! Thank you both

Of course, not forgetting Mr TrackDemon for the proper PROPER sideways action ... I bet your missus dreads those words, "mind if I just borrow the car luv"

Finally made it home through the M1 contraflow...

Great day - I would have had a stupid enough grin even without the little passenger trip to V10 heaven (MMmmmm - huge thanks for that sir) thumbup

Also, a privillege to have the black Ruf waft past as if I were in a 1200cc shopping trolley - beautiful bow

Finally, as a newbie it was great to meet so many thoroughly friendly, pleasent and welcoming people. Great day - big thanks also to Craig and all of the others who made it happen.

Thanks go to the VMAX team. As usual a great event & good to meet some new folk as well as the regulars.

Managed 180MPH on the speed trap & could stop in time for the 1st turn in, so brakes must be a little better than i had on the RS6. Most interesting moment was my 4th drift attempt on the last bend with the Jumbo on my right. The 1st 3 times i'd just managed a little bit of sideways action which was fun, but the 4th time i tried a little to hard & became a passenger whilst my car performed a perfect 360 (& a bit extra) in a huge cloud of rubber smoke. I guess i'd gone too far with that one & so glad the tarmac at Brunters is sooooo wide. Tried a few proper Launches & by Jesus are they fun.

Loving the 997 Turbos & cheers Rob (DMS) for the PAX lap. Think i got to say hello to everyone this time & huge thanks for my early morning refreshments. Also thanks to Simon for the interesting run down from Knutsford to Brunters.

See you all again soon.

And to all of those who "met a load of great new friendly people" ... get yourselves over to the Black Tie and Pie forum and snap up some of the remaining tickets / rooms ... then you'll be able to meet a load more! thumbup

Thanks Craig, Andy and Greg for the organisation and effort.

Another great day, and managed to get home with the 'check engine light' but car seemed to be running fine, apart from a rough idle. Going to take it to the dealers tomorrow.

Danny, good to see you again, and a beautiful car you have, seeing as you could compare it to your old one right there!!!
Thanks TrackD for the drift tuition, I look forward to graduating some time soon.
Thanks Leon for the ride, massive urge and the fastest I have ever been (in a car).
Simon nice to see you as always.

And whoever had the CGT, thanks for making my brother almost faint with joy, he hasn't stopped grinning yet!

Great day, and the weather was fine.

Nice to meet you again Al, and thanks for the intro to Mod500, that's the fastest I've ever been in a car at 189mph!

Big thanks also to Craig and the other organisers, Ballistic Banana for the 157mph run in the Griff 500, and Tertius (sp?) for the dice with the BMW Z4 in his 156mph Porker. driving

We had a fantastic day too. Some pretty special cars, but they didn't even come close to how great the people were.

What a day! VMax just gets better and better.

Spelling spot on - it was my pleasure, those two runs were ace, you were also my best passenger, every other time I took a passenger we were down at 154 .

VMax for me was a big improvement from last time, up from 150 to 158, a dare say the engine rebuild had something to do woth it ... fingers crossed a bit more to come as the engine loosens up.

Thanks to everyone for a great day, but especially to drhildr for the awesome 196 in the yellow RUF - I have to have one ...

Yep, back safely. thumbup

Quote of the day from a certain eminent Boltonian. bow Sat in the rear of my brother's M5, having being chauffeured by yours truely, as we exit the last corner his lordship comes out with:

"If they were refilming Ronin today, they'd be in one of these, not an S8"

First time at VMax and had a great time - big thanks to Craig and all.

Probably took 6 months off my tyres and my clutch feels a ropey (burnt to hell on the last run..) but a magic day. Managed to hit 170mph in the 997C2S (glad you didn't go faster Flying Trotter...!!), sit in a Gallardo Spyder and passenger a high speed 360 spin in a Griffith thumbup The CGT was quite nice too...

Had to run off a bit early but great to meet you guys and already looking forward to the next one.

Cheers - Erik
