2nd day 2nd problem oh dear!
Discussion
Driving it along givin and gave it a bit of welly... Not to much tho. And as i was going along some water squirted up onto my wind screen. I though it had started raining. I got out of the car 5 minutes later and there is a hissing noise coming from the front. At this point I'm thinking owe sh*te! It sounded like water.
What does it sound like to you guys and gals?
I have a wear and tear warranty will it cover me?
I have the recovery option does that mean they'll come and pick it up for me, cause the closest dealer is about 60 miles away!?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

The coolant expansion tank with the blue cap should have no visible coolant in it when cold. The owner's manual is misleading on this point - at least on my Sag.
Dealer told me the correct level is at the top of the small inlet at the bottom of the aluminium tank - you can check this by squeezing the large diameter tube from the rad - no need to overfill.
Mine was overfilled when new if it's any consolation.

Where was the hissing coming from exactly? Radiator? Expansion tank (do you have the 2nd tank mod fitted)?
Was the Water temp Ok?
have you checked the coolant level? if its been overfilled any excess water/steam would be vented through the blue cap on the expansion tank.

Well another prob is I am struggling to open the bonnet the catch doesn’t seem to wanna open. But from what I could tell the hissing was coming from the front end of the car by the radiators.
Water temp was 92-95 degrees.
The car was serviced last week so they could of overfilled it. I hope!
What should I do next?
When I first collected mine, I used to overfill the coolant (following the handbook instructions
). Once she was warmed up, a lot of coolant would overflow from the blue cap of the reservoir (as steve11 described), but then it would find it's own 'natural' level. I always check before every run, but have never needed to top up since.
As for the bonnet release, you need to lift the bonnet at the same time as pulling the lever (on mine at least?). It helps to drop the drivers side window, then reach in and pull the lever, at the same time as lifting the bonnet from the centre.

The water on the screen will probably be from the washers. Mine dribble a bit if I give it some serious welly. Annoying on a track day as I'm always wiping the screen on straights - I'm sure the spectators wonder why my wipers keep coming on
A lot of these cars do fizz a bit from the expansion tank. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong with it. If you just have one tank with a blue cap on it front/centre of the engine then it should be around 1/2 full - to the side outlet - each car finds its own level so any overfilling will be spat out the cap - don't brim it. If you have a second tank on the drivers' inner wing then I think this should be close to empty (usually only on later cars).

Bonnet release:
the catch underneath the steering column is pretty gash. The cable sheath is held by some crappy wee piece of folded steel, and of course once the sheath gives/tears the whole cable comes through the 'hole'. Fixable with a bit of ingenuity and a cable tie...
If the catch is bu££ered then pull the visible section of cable at the bonnet catch whilst raising the bonnet itself.
As for the water hissing noise - just make sure that the levels are correct and that the temperature is ~90 deg before the first fan comes on. If it ever goes over, say 99 deg then something could be awry. You are right to be wary, although I am told that the engines are robust and can stand a limited degree of overheating - very few head gaskets seem to go pop.
BTW there are two temperature senders. Both on drivers side of the block, the front one does the display and has a negative temperature coefficient and the other is toward the bulkhead for the ECU and has a positive temp coeff (i.e. resistance goes up with temp).

Called the recovery guys out in the end. A chap from Davies recovery from stafford came out(Part of the warranty cover).
First problem was to open the bonnet. He showed me the trick of putting your hands through the grills and pulling the wire (Hope no thiefs are reading).
On inspection of the expanision tank there was a gap of between 3 1/2 to 4 inches of water from the cap.
A pipe connecting to the radidater at the front driver's side had a suspisious amount of white stuff around the end. Other pipes didnt. He tightened the catch around it about three times (Which he said was a lot and could let water out) and said to carry on driving it but keep an eye on the water situation.
