its just struck me that rather than ron putting hamilton in de la rosa's seat for the last race of the season, he would be better off giving raikonnen early gardening leave, and letting lewis use that car. appreciate raikonnen has a better chance of points than the spanard, but seeing as he's off anyway why not let him go now....

Good idea.

An even more improbable suggestion to Ron: let Lewis and Gary Paffett both do the race.

There has been very little mention of Paffet recently, I hope he is not being overlooked!

On bbc news with Ron saying that it would be a mistake rushing him into it

Wow, what a prospect - and a great way of getting some media coverage too!

I'm pretty sure Hamilton will drive in Brazil. I like the idea of them pulling Raikkonen out too - be good to see Paffett drive.

It would be good to pull Kimi out just to make sure they have someone who can string a positive sentence together for the post race interviews

I'm quite annoyed about the lack of coverage for Paffett. I would much rather see him in the car anyway as I think he deserves the chance more.

Blame that on 2MB - Blundell did his bit for Paffett on ITV's F1 coverage on Sunday, but they ought to be pushing him more overtly in the press too

yep, that would be very cool. pedro has been ok, but nothing special. what has ron got to lose, his team can't catch ferrari, and honda cant catch maclaren. come on ron, be brave!

Imagine if one of Dennis' drivers were to take Alonso out of the race, handing the championship to Schumacher.

I think Dennis would top himself

Perhaps Ferdy would do it for him before Ron got his hands on the gun.
