Hardly touched my camera since I moved in, but the light has been good over the past few days, so I stopped building and filling shelves for a while...

That really does look like a horrible place to live. I can't understand why you would move there at all.

Not jealous at all, honest

second to last one with the rainbow would be way better if the camera was about 5mm to the left.

Love them all! I do think your shots are always superb. Being me, my reaction is always to get my camera and equipment checked. Keep meaning to do that just to make sure that it really is the skill of the photog and not just the kit. hehe

Would love it if you put the exif info onto all your shots. Geeks like me like to know what settings were used to take each phgoto. Helps us learn. Just Camera, lens, EV and ISO under each shot would be brill. (like you get on all the Canon/Nikon etc websites.

Just my 2p.

You're right Greg...

When I convert to JPG it loses all exif... but in any case, almost all my landscapes are apature priority at 60th sec for handheld and slower for tripod. Usually 100 ISO, with the 17mm lens. I try and keep the f number in the middle if poss. I then bracket 5 frames to cover my back, and sometimes digital blend the best sky if the ground is too dark. The rest is living in the right part of the world, being in the right place at the right time, getting up bloody early and taking shed loads. (Carpet Bomb Carter)

Velvia is a long lost dream... all I have is a bit of highlight/shadow!

Ah (again - sorry for being dim)

Never did the plugin, although it does look good.

I just do so little post processing - mostly as I'm a lazy git, but also as I can't understand instructions. I've still to find the bonnet catch on the new car.

I found the boot mind. It was full of tesco bags from last week.

Very nice.

Are you Scots Steve? If not how have you found the reception up there?

Nope, a Londoner - but Highlanders seem to have no problem with us Saxons... the most friendly bunch I've ever found - totally non-judgemental. The people of the English Shires are (I'll be conservative here) not in the same league in their welcome. In any case, our local village is 50% English - and the ones that are most happy are the ones that take on the 'relaxed'* way up here.

*read VERY relaxed.

Actually I used to live a bit further north (and east) from where you are now. 30 miles west of John O Groats...Thurso.
How are the midges this time of year...heehee
