I'm not a graphics type but you might get an answer here from the question/answer systems:

www.identifont.com/

Or here:

www.linotype.com/fontidentifier.html

This one needs an uploaded image:

bow

Holy shit, that's awesome. I'd just knocked up a small JPEG to post on here then came back to that WhatTheFont link and it got it straight away.

I'm probably easily impressed but that's a bloody useful tool.

Ok, the inevitable follow-up question.

It identified the font as Magneto Bold but they want $40 for it. I only want it for totally non-commercial personal use so would anybody have a...ahem....trial version that they'd let me have? Very much appreciated, if someone could send it my way.

Had a google but everything goes back to that dreaded font.com website.

Where is the orignal font anyway? You copying it off a poster or something!?

It is supposedly available on MS Office 2003. But I can't see it on my installation!

Well found that man!

My computer, Control Panel, Fonts.... Save it in there and then should be able to use in word

I hosted the font for you here. Tell me if that works.

I found it straight away. Do you have MS Office 2003 Pro or just 2003. Only difference I could think of.

David.

Don't know. It may well be but it's not where I got it from.

Have you downloaded the font now?

I'll free up the space on my site again if you have
