TVR at Le Mans

Chances are you've heard by now, but two Tuscan R's have been entered for Le Mans. Endurance expert Hugh Chamberlain will be running the teams. In the LM GT class they'll be up against a huge number of Porsches, Ferrari 360s and Corvettes.

Well, the Tuscan has done exceptionally well at Sebring (7th in class, 20th overall) which as Ted says is a very good omen for LeMans. Well done to the team and roll on the second car. I for one of many am looking forward to a great weekend in June.

Just returned from sebring. Great results! Car was running strong at last stop @ approx hr11;15 the car went in for last pit stop running I believe in 5th pos in class. Fueled It woulden't restart due to a dead battery. lost 4 laps and two positions. The car appears to be a real threat, as I under stand the car was running a 30 kg. weight penalt and a restrictor plate in the intake. These were a penalty as a result of the fact that 25 of the type haven't been produced. Therefore there appears to be a prototype clause of some sort. Great weekend, will post photos.

So under which ACO rules will the cars come, to allow them a full head of steam?

That was a very pleasant weekend despite being quite late in the year. Congratulations to all involved at TVR and Racesport Salesbury and all others. Roll on next year...
