Monday morning Madision(female) my 6yr old black and white cat went missing and then Tuscan(male) a 8mnth old as went missing and havent been seen since.
I have contacted the local vets, cat protection etc and they have heard nowt.
Also posted a missing letter in nieghbours houses nearby. searched around local roads and the one nmain rd nearby that u cross to get to aload of fields.

Dont know what else to do have had cats disappear for a couple of days before but Madcat(Madison) barely left the garden and Tuscan is so young dont know what to think.
Currently Bentley who is Tuscans brother hasnt stopped meowing all week and i daint let him out at the mo.

Any one else had cats go missing for this length of time???
Someone told me if one cat goes missing sometimes teh other one will disappear to go looking for it, dont know how true that is.
Just seems so wierd that two disappear exactly one day after the other.

Gutted, hope they are back soon.

BB

Cats can be like that mate... strange animals at times. Quite often one will go looking for the other.. but they do know they can get food at yours so hopefully they'll come back.

I'll keep me fingers crossed...

I've got 4 cats, and every now and again one of them will disappear for a few days - either someone is feeding them, or they fancy the adventure.

Get your neighbours to check sheds/garages. Cats are curious buggers!

Hope they pitch up soon, it's a horrible feeling when you don't know where they've got to.

Agree with P. Cat can be gone weeks and turn up scruffy and grateful. Good luck.

we lost one of our cats a few years ago, kafir...

stupidly let her out on bonfire night and never saw her again, we did everything we could to find her but she was so timid and unfortuantly have never seen her again, though we still think one day she may turn up...

i know the last thing you want to do is let your last remaining cat out, but it may help as he may be able to find Tuscan

we tried that with kiwi, but he couldn't find kafir.

best of luck mate, and i hope they come back safe!!

Post little notes through the letter boxes of all the houses in your area stating what they look like, and asking people to check sheds/garages/houses etc

Put the other one on a lead mate and see if you can get some idea where theyve gone from him.
Ya never know, it may help.
best of luck.

Sorry to hear this, BB..

Two of our three have been missing for a couple of days or more in the past.. Marshy has been gone for almost a week before now.. most common thing is to get shut in a shed or garage..

I did have a cat go missing completely before and it turned out he preferred the standard of service in a different house a mile up the road and had elected to permanently decamp. Didn't mind as at least I knew he was okay and I couldn't keep him at the time anyway - I'd had to palm him off on me mum.

Are there any Korean restaurants nearby?

Fear not BB - I'm sure they will return. Our two are well known in the street for dipping into gardens, going up trees etc - they may be shut in somewhere - one of ours gets in all the little gaps, he's been under the floorboards before now, I was doing some pipe stuff and he was down there, under the bath as it happens - came up through the hole where the main dain pipe goes down.

A few weeks ago he got up me stepladder into the loft.

Know what you mean though. It's just nice to know that they're around isn't it?

They'll be back for sure. Dragging their tails behind them.

Too bad BB. One of our cats, Sam (a real inquisitive one was he) disappeared one Sunday. Looked everywhere, left notes pinned to trees, lampposts, fences. Knocked on loads of doors. We were totally mystified and very upset. Eight days later he wandered in - looking a bit thin and very clean. Apparently he'd wandered into a garage about 6 houses down the road and they'd shut the door and gone off skiing for a week. When they got back they opened the door and a white flash shot out between them. Of course he'd left several calling cards

Hope your two are similarly safe and will be back with you soon.

Hello Mate, now how you feel! As the saying goes they all do that sir!
We had a ginger Tom stray that adopted us. About a year he moved in he started spraying in the house of the old dear next door. So quick trip down the vets for a little snip and all was well for a few months. One day he went missing, couple of day’s still no sign of him. I walked the streets calling and listening for him, nothing, we were gutted. Time dragged on, adds up locally for missing cat. We never gave up hope of his return. 1 week, 1 month. Then one day out of the blue he walked through our hedge, announced his presents and demanded food.... ONE YEAR LATER! Little Ba$tard! Never did find out where he went to, but he did return.
So hang in there Mate, here’s hoping they return soon.

Thoughts are with you.

Big Al,

When I was a kid we had a cat that was a serious hunter it used to catch rabbits! (once got in neighbours aviary and ate his exotic birds, nice bright feathers in the living room ) anyway this cat used to disappear for a week or more on a regular basis but always came back.

My Mother-in-law had a cat that disapeared one day, came back about 6 or 7 months later, with one of it's feet missing, she took it to the vet and got it sorted out & run up a huge vet bill, then as soon as it could walk "properly" again it bu66ered off and never came back - feckin' ingrate!

A few years ago I found a dead cat in the stable and not knowing where it came from burnt it on the bonfire, a week or so later a young girl came round to the house asking if we'd seen her cat - I didn't have the heart to tell her

Bad news, I'm sure they're not far. One of our cats (Tasmin) got locked in our neighbours garage and could not get out I spent bloody hours looking for Her then hearing a cry from inside the garage. I did not sleep that night waiting for next door to open their garage.

Hope they are back soon.
