Had to share this with everyone... went to Heathrow to pick up a friend on Sunday. Off the motorway and started cursing the level of cars on the road when I came up to the tunnel. Now, I have been to this airport more times than I can remember but is it now, because I have a TVR, that this tunnel suddenly becomes the most exciting thing since extra cold Guinness came on the scene? I slowed down and let the cars ahead pull away, windows down, into first then right foot flat on the floor. The noise was deafening. I eased off the accelerator for the JP then to pop and bang like it never has before. An MPV with a family went past with the 3 kids in the back pointing, smiling and giving me the thumbs up. Cue another quick burst before the tunnel ended. This time a chav in a Nova beeped on his horn and gave me the thumbs up. Wow, a compliment from a chav!

On returning back through the tunnel, I obviously repeated the process and the smile just wouldn't go away (mate still claims his ears are suffering). To top it all off, sitting back in the traffic waiting to get off the motorway, people still continued to point and stare. Now maybe the colour helped, but to me owning a TVR is the best thing I have ever done. So what if we get a couple of niggly problems, driving it on days like today couldn't stop me smiling. In fact, I still am. And when I stop, I'll get back in it. Might even head back for that tunnel

I know the feeling Andy.

I to was enjoying the sound of the JP Sports Exhaust whilst driving to cribs causeway in Bristol on saturday. I opened the Tam up down the M4 and what a noise. It is truely amazing.

Had a similar experience the other week that put a big grin on my face. Driving along the M25, minding my own business, I notice a Jeep passing me slowly in the outside lane. But what's this, there's a cute blonde female passenger giving me the double thumbs up very enthusiastically cloud9 Naturally I gave the thumbs up back (with just the one hand though hehe). Then about 5 mins later, same thing happens, this time it's a Passat and the bloke in the passenger seat with the window fully down and his hand to his ear. Knew exactly what he wanted so I dropped it into 3rd and gave it a bit of welly! It's the little things!

Nice one Andy, know just what you mean

But even better is the noise of several loud Tivs going through a long tunnel - you should come down for this run on Sunday morning, which will have a couple of passes through Southwick tunnel, it is well worth it:

and Jason will be there with his freshly de-catted Tam if you want to compare how that sounds against mine with just a JP.

Following your Tam to Super Sunday earlier this year was loud enough so would be keen to see how much louder the de-catted version is! Have a massive sat night planned though with my rugby club so will see if I can slope off early... when's the latest you need to know by Alex? Cheers

Yeah still got your mob Alex. Will call you on the morning if I come down. Really hope I can make it. Just depends if I can slope away from London Welsh without being spotted...

i can tell you the differnce for a decatted and tvr power supersports exhaust.f***ing loud the pops and bangs are louder but there is not as many pops and bangs.and finally me dad really put his foot down on saturday and the noise was real proper loud could not hear any decatted, supersports exhaust cerbs (4.2 and 4.5)any one comments on the noise how it matches the colour.we are thinking of straight through pipes so it would be even more louder

The main tunnel is quite large. You should try the one to the left that is much smaller, and would be much louder.

Brilliant isn't it.

I found myself in an underground car park last week, the first since I got the car. The sound when I turned the key was great and I was smiling all the way home. Slightly childish? but awesome fun!
