Has anyone got an ashtray for a 400se or similar cos mine has a broken top.

So has mine Jim still haven't been able to source one ,but havent got round to fixing it either.

Ashtrays are so C20th, and redundant, in a droptop car.
Must be a gadget which could fit in the gap.

Think they are rarer than rocking horse s*** - more so 'cause I don't think anyone really knows where they are from - expect someone will be along to prove me wrong.

Should try repairing it.

I have two spare ones... but they are both broken!

Not sure what they are made of, but it isn't ABS, as Dichloromethane will not weld the plastic together. I was thinking my next attempt would be araldite, and then spray the result.

Looks like my i-pod would fit. As mine is broken too, how do I get it out, as I can't see any fixings.

same here, nice new one in the garage, never fitted.

Also have a locking fuel cap too .. once again never fitted

My mate uses his 400SE ashtray to hide the nitrous oxide 'arm' switch...

Shame he blew the engine and it hasn't turned a wheel for over 2 years. In fact it must be longer; it was off the road when I bought my Esprit almost three years ago...
