do the Anti squeel shims from Clever Trevor work?

Just wondering if anyone has had any success with these. would be a neat solution if they are effective. i had thought of dawbing in silicon sealant but thats a bit messy.

when it drys up out side I'll let you know, they should do fingers crossed I had put heat resistant gasket seal on the back of the pads (from another post), this worked for a couple of months, then breaking from 155 they've been squealing ever since. This way the shims do the same job but are more robust, but only time can tell. Nothing ventured and all that

I could never get mine to stop squealing, or at least not for long. They eventually stopped on there own.

New pads now in 1500 miles ago. Ok at the moment.

Front: MDB1292
Rear : MLB20

No shims used. Just put a 45 degree chamfer on the leading edge and anti slip/copper grease. The fronts never seem to squeal, always the rears.

Same here, tried all the tricks including sealant on the backs of the rears - still squeals like a b@astard from both ends. Going to have a go with the shims mentioned elsewhere.
