Who are your favourite racers of all time that have competed in British Drag Racing?

Mine would have to be Alan O Connor.

Still goin after all these years, aslo one of the first racers to start bringing technology over from the states.

Great car (Al's Gasser), shame its not about as much as it used to be.

Think its smax for me. Always the underdog and been through hell and high water with allsorts of disasters and hes always picked himself up and got on with it. True peoples champion.

Andy Robinson and Slammin Sammy rank pretty high aswell.

Slightly skewed views here.

Ive alway followed the hardcore, do it yourself racers, as opposed to the buy it in from the states guy.

Examples of people I always like to watch:

Steve Green.
Remember the original RED screaming 'Tina ?

Len Paget
Been running pro stock bike for EVER.Always home built.

Any of the Street ELim bunch.True Doorslammers.

Anyone who makes an unusual combination work. There used to a guy running a Vox Firenza, think it was called sweet sixteen.Had a lotus twink and gas, ran 9's from memory, very snappy motor.

Hmmm, is our OP actually several people? Comparing the punctuation and spelling in this thread to the Fuel Funny Car thread is quite interesting.

Anyway, conspiracy theories aside, of the racers I've seen, I'd have to say :-

Fast Freddy
Smax
Sammy Miller
Lex Joon
John Sleath
Any of the Maltese methanol teams!

Tim Cook- good shout.

I remember him from years back.

Sammy Miller- another legend.

Would people put the likes of Barry Sheavils and Micke Kagerad up there?
