Can anyone HELP me? I keep getting a message in a utility box saying
Invalid WEP key 1 length!!

What does that mean? I can get rid of it by clicking on the OK button but every time I turn my laptop on it appears.
HELP!!! S

WEP key is a wireless access key, usualy 10 or more hex code.

I assume your laptop is trying to access a wireless network on boot up & has the wront/bad WEP key, check your wireless network card settings.

You might find that you have more than one WEP key configurable on your router. I have four on mine, and even though I configured all four to be the same and set up the same key on my laptop, I'd selected Key 1 on the laptop and Key 2 (accidentally) on the router.

It wouldn't validate and it would grant a connection until I set them both to 1. Also, as Rob has hinted, check the length of your keys if possible. I had the option of 26 or 40 characters for my WEP.

Failing that, switch to WPA if you have the option as it's more secure.

Can you actually get a connection, or is this error preventing you?
