I'm really trying not to be led astray by the wonderful one liners that have flooded my head, especially as it's from one of our own.....but come on.....rofl

Bret with all due respect, which is great specially for a man who does its own wrenching you must understand that for the money you spent on the car you probably could have traded for something which others consider more interesting and "posh-er" as a 911 or even a 968 if you like engine lay out.

lets not have a go at brett, hes havin fun, leave him be hey.

if it wasnt for him the TVR boys would have completly mullered us at the RR day, rather than just mullering us.

Hi Kiko

Lollll you have to be joking

2 reasons...

1...INCLUDING all parts and original car cost.....total is well under 10k...

2...Why would I want a car thats short 2 cylinders...and slower than mine...In case you didnt notice...I "did" beat all other Porsches at the TVR VS PORSCHE rolling road day...

Hopefully by the end of next year..I will have the most powerful Porsche in the UK....bar none...

1000 hp should do it.....but if I dont or if it goes bang....I will have had fun trying

I may be just a little nuts of course

All the best Brett

Hi Craig

I think you better start thinking about 100% PLUS 500 hp jetting

That MIGHT get you second at next years TVR/PORSCHE RR.... lol

I've got to be honest, and say...if I was at a meet - with a dozen 911's and your monster 928...
I know where I would wander over to and have a buchers....

How many 911's do you know with 505 bhp?

You really need to get yourself down to V.Max

Having "experienced" Bretts beastie on Charlie's rollers before, the only chance at VMax he'll have is if we bolt a pair of wings to the roof, and pretend its the Vulcan taxiing out laugh

oh i wasn't knocking the 928, I have always hankered after one .... it's just that some of the V.Max guys would think of 500bhp as a tasty aperitife before the main event

At least you're taking this in the spirit it's meant, Brett! Top man! hippy
I must admit though, I prefer my cars to be a little more 'standard' and I DO think that the flat 6 is just right, but more V's get sold than 'Flats' so there must be something in it......!

It sounds like a fairly outrageous car, to be honest, with that many horses - I'm sure you're no stranger to TVR bashing at the lights??? smash

Please feel free to come and destroy my friends 4.0 Chim.......I promise to be a completely objective spectator "GO PORSCHE".......bow

Well done for giving the Blackpool lot a damn good flogging at the RR day! I'm hoping to make the next one.
Cheers, Stu

Every time that I go to a race track there are drivers who bring heavily modded cars. Some proudly reel off all sorts of facts, figures and often produce a dyno sheet as if it were some sort of huge intimidating phallus. Out on the circuit - where it matters - it all seems to go a bit Pete Tong and they dissapear in your mirrors.

The proof of the pudding and all that.....

My money is on Chucky not getting fans next year so that blown pork still won't be able to be run

and I'm still a little dubious about how all 911 figures were down 10%....

Didn't one of you guys make the rule for the car to qualify it must be able to be driven after the RR session?

hehe

Good luck Brett you'll need it! SXS (Ash) made a similar statement 3 years ago and his baby is only now getting close to being finish and over £30,000 in engine part cost alone! 1000bhp is not easy to get from any car. But I'll see you next year and we can see!
