can anyone help driving at between 70-90mph on the motorway have a slight whine/whistle coming from car when holding the car at a steady speed it goes when i accelerate or de-accelerate any ideas also car runs lumpy on tick over when warm gratefull for any help and advise on these to issues cheers sean

lay shaft in the gearbox would be my guess.
sounds like its had a hard time
time for a rebuild i recon

It is deffo gearbox..Input shaft or something like that..Same thing happened on my EVO VI..Ralliart(Still were at the time) wanted £2000..I am sure you could get it done cheaper at an independant..
