Can anybody clarify that all exported foods and confectionery are zero Vat rated??
In that case is it worth registering for Vat even if initial figures fall short of £60k so that purchase VAT can be reclaimed once exported??

Exports to non-EU countries are always Zero Rated.
Exports to EU countries can be Zero Rated so long as the customer is registered for VAT in their own country and can provide you with their valid VAT registration number.
