Torrent problem
Discussion
Nothing's wrong. Sometimes they're distributed in multiple parts.
Get Winrar ( www.rarlabs.com - click on the "English" link under "WinRAR 3.61 release" ) install it, then you'll be able to double click on the .rar file and it'll combine everything and extract the .avi/.mpg file.
(it harks back to the days of non-resuming downloads where you wouldn't want to try and download a 350 meg file in one go in case the line dropped, so you'd download multiple smaller parts then combine them afterwards)

Can't see bugger all from that image, but I'm gonna assume it's lots of files with suffixes such as ".r01", ".r02" etc? It's a multipart archive - find the one that ends ".rar" (usually), double click that one and it should uncompress the video file.
If double clicking the .rar file does nothing, try a Google search for "uncompress .rar" - ah never mind, just download WinRAR from Graham's post
HTH.

I can't make out the second picture so I'm going to take a stab in the dark here and suggest the file extensions are .rar, .r01, .r02, .r03 and so on yes?
Download WinRAR (www.rarlabs.com I belive) install it, let it take the permissions for most of the archive types and then go to the folder select the .rar file, right click and select "Extract Here".

[sensible head on]This is copyright theft my friend, and you're openly discussing it on a public forum.
Not sure Ted will be none too pleased about you asking for help in this context?

It's entirely legal in the USA to record and post TV programmes which have aired [sensible head on]This is copyright theft my friend, and you're openly discussing it on a public forum.

Copyright Infringment. Theft would be denying the owner access to the original material (i.e. I steal your car), this is distributing a copy of the original (i.e. I copy your car down the mimutest detail then drive off in the copy).
Legally speaking it's a pretty complex issue especially when your talking about something like bittorrent where chunks of data can come from all over the world and thus from a whole host of different legal systems. Indeed it could be that the original file came out of say Russia by a guy with a big assed dish yet Sharief's seeders were all in the states. You also have the whole legal vs moral debate which I tend to stay out of; I've seen it likened to the fansubbing that goes on with Japanese animation, it's bad... but it does provide free advertising for the product and possibly provides an as yet unquantified percentage of additional product sales (DVD's and other merchandise).
Having said that knowing how BitTorrent works and how to deal with multipart archives is a handy thing to know as often large software updates for games or homebrew software are distributed by this method as it reduces load on the authors systems.

You said that the other day...no it isn't
It's legal to record and/or make a copy for yourself (for backup purposes, storing the original, use a copy of a music CD in the car etc) under the Fair Use principle, but it is not legal to distribute it.
DVD & CD sales would plummet were that the case.
(note : Fair Use does not exist in the UK, this is US only)
