I have the extended warranty on my TT and it's due a service now. Can you service it at an independant dealer and keep the warranty rather than get bent over by an OPC or will they void it?

Cheers

As far as I know using an independant will not invalidate the warranty, provided they use parts of equal quality, and follow proper procedues etc.
The only plus I can see with the OPC is the stamp in the service book, and a decent cup of coffee, although that's not always gaurantee'd !!

Take it to the opc and tell them you are only prepared to pay for the price of the service with no frills...anything they wish to add on over the standard cost get them to check with you before doing the work..that saved me £250 for a new horn last time..

Sorry, a horn for £250. That's the thing that goes "beep-beep". What was their justification?

I get alot of my customers to put the opc warranty on their cars then i service them and the warranty still stands due to the block exemption rules...

so get it serviced by a good independant....dont waste your money so some yts lad can ruin your pride and joy give it to someone who cares about his customers.
