Anyone had trouble with Lambda sensors [the actual sensor end inside the manifold] disintegrating?

Mine did and took a stroll into my turbo - lovely!

Because I am planning to take the engine out to fit a track sump soon, we thought it would be okay to leave the manifold cracks [didn't seem too bad] to be repaired in 2 weeks, when it would be easier.

I think air got into the manifold through the crack and caused higher temperatures/flaming and burnt the sensor away. Enter turbo - lunch turbo - write cheque out for repair.

Moral of the story - if the mainfold's got a crack, fix it straight away.

BTW - nice plate Alex thumbup
