The break in the evolution of the Monaro
Discussion
Going to back in time a bit: The Monaro has always been a (mainly) 2-door version of Holden's volume-seller family car, right from the HK Kingswoods through to the latest Commodore.
It got me to thinking yesterday (cause I happened to pass a pristine example of one) why Holden didnt continue in this vein with the VB-VK Commodores by borrowing the Opel Monza - which to me, looks to fit the traditional Monaro criteria perfectly. Certainly Brocky thought it was an idea cause he dropped a V8 into one for an idea to see what would happen. Im amazed it didnt take off.
Does anyone have any info on this subject?
