Very nice

Do you know the power/weight ratio?

It's surprisingly heavy if this SVA doc is correct.. 900kgs (seems rather fat!)

The engine puts out ~140bhp according to RAW, so nigh on 145/tonne?

It's definately quick enough for me at the moment

There's no way it weighs that much. Are you sure that's not the gross weight? Your car looks tiny and I bet it weighs no more than 5-600kg. So more like 230bhp/tonne or even better

Yeah just been reading thomas's comments on previous 20v strikers, looks like you're right.. maybe 600kgs then according to him, using a bus as a donor

Makes a bit more sense as to why I nearly cack myself everytime I hit the loud pedal, I always had it in the back of my mind that more power = better, but at the moment I can't see me ever wanting more beans.. the thing is just too fruity!

600-700kg sounds about right. If it was less than 150bhp/tonne it would be one of the slowest kit cars on earth

My little Midtec weighs around the 600kg mark (i'm guessing) and only has a 2L Renault engine, good for about 110-120bhp but it's still pretty quick off the mark. Still I would prefer the 150bhp that the space frame chasis could handle

What you have to remember is that the scales used at SVA stations, although calibrated, are normally weighing 40 ton trucks and such. For an accurate weight (especially on such a light car) get it corner weighted.

Strikers are amongst the lightest of the LSIS cars, BEC engined version weigh in at under 400kg, so even a really lardy car engined one would have trouble being much over 600kg.

Nice looking car !

I had mine corner weighted a couple of months ago, it was 501Kg with a near full tank of petrol.

OK it has a Rover K series in it which is probably a little lighter than the Toyota, but I would doubt yours is any more than 530/540 Kg.

Doesn't matter anyway, what matters is enjoying it.
