My Dad - Rest in Peace

To all my dear friends on PH who have been in touch over the last three weeks and not received a reply.... I apologise for a somewhat self indulgent and pointless post, but....



My wonderful, wonderful father passed away on October 5th after a brave and defiant stand against prostate and bone cancer.

I miss him like mad. He was a true gentleman.


Sincere thanks to all my friends who helped me through this, and continue to do so.

Very, very sorry to hear that and by no means is it a self indulgent and pointless post.

Nothing we can say will make it any easier, but having lost my Dad nearly three years ago all I can say is that time does help.

Not at all, there is nothing wrong with sharing bad stuff with your mates (even the infrequent posters amoungst us that you've never met).

Really sorry to hear about it - hope you and your family are doing okay focussing on the good times past and moving on in a way that would make your dad proud. Have lost several family friends to cancer in recent years (one last week in fact), but nobody nearly so close.

My father left us before time as well, I lost him when I was 20year old (8 years ago) on a car crash. I still thimk of him EVERY day. I feel for you and know what you're going through.
