Drivers door window.

Hi, can anyone help me please/
My drivers door window has once again, despite being "fixed" by a dealer, stopped opening when I open the car door or closing when I shut the door.

Not an insurmountable problem but a ****** nuisance nevertheless.

I know there have been threads on this in the past and I have tried the various suggestions put forward but all to no avail. IE. Door panel off, adjusting door contact with magnet, disconnecting black box etc - Before berating the service agent I want to have one last go to correct the problem myself purely so that I do not need to have to rely on the supposed experts out there!
Any ways to locate the source of the problem ie to narrow it down to a particular area or issue?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Does the window actually work? If it doesn't work off the up/down window buttons, take the plug out of the winder motor and check it's getting a voltage when you press them.

My window stopped working and it turned out to be the connector going into the motor itself. Chopped it off and put a new connector on the wires.

Yes the window does work by using the up and down switch.
Does that help or hinder/

Are the magnets on the door out of sync. Not very technical I know but I believe that to make the window open and close as you open the door the magnets have to be aligned. Has the door dropped at all etc. Maybe there not magnets but I was told this is how the circuit works, best of luck.
