Outlook, or Outlook Express?

Outlook stores its data in files with the extention .pst so try a search for that and see what comes up.

Outlook Express uses .dbx files and the windows address book, which are .wab files.

Many thanks. Yes - I was talking about Outlook. I've checked for .pst files and can find none - it seems to have been completely cleaned out. I had a Trojan the other day which I thought had been dealt with successfully by Norton - do you think that might be the culprit?
Thanks for your help.

yes

When you searched did you select the box to look in hidden folders?

If you did and it isn't actually on the HDD download an exal copy of restorer2000 and look see if there's a PST of reasonable size and date on the HDD still. Should still be there. If it is you can buy the retail version (about £20) and recover it.
