It had me shouting at the TV more than ever before, for reasons both good and bad!
What a race!
What a cock-up!
What a finish!

Made the trip to Donnington this year to see the British round and it was great to soak up the atmosphere. Nonetheless, so much motorsport is better on TV and today's race proved that belt and braces with action all round the track from start to finish.

And the BBC commentary team for Moto GP is utterly hilarious! Plus Ms Perry....

[Repeated tonight at 8.00 pm on British Eurosport for those who missed it. If you never watch another race; watch this one!]

My heart rate must have gone up to a seriously dangerous level watching Elias swinging it this way and that! I thought Italy was good this year, that just took the biscuit and smashed it into a million tiny crumbs! jester cool

I loved the commentary from Charlie Cox about Elias' breaking problems:

"I'll make my braking problem your problem too!"

He certainly did that. What a superb race, best I have seen in a long time. You just never know what will happen at Valencia though. Rossi has had some rotten luck this season and he might just end up broken down/knocked off. I hope that the last race is worth watching, but I do agree with Quinny that Rossi has done more than Hayden to deserve a Championship win.

Still can't work out why, a couple of laps before the end, Elias appeared to let Rossi through

Elias had been chasing all race...it`s easier to hang onto someones coat tails and breeze through on the tight stuff than let Rossi sit on his shoulder and do the same to him...like he has done to so many...in hindsight it worked...just....

I was expecting Vale to sit behind him until the last couple of laps and then go, looking after his tyre.

What an awesome race!

Shame for Nicky, but TBH, it's a perfect way to set up the last race of the season and if he beats Vale he'll deserve to be champ.

Hobo, if you can't make it to Valencia, I'll have the tickets off you

Exactly - he'd worked out he could pass riding at 110% and sliding off the curbs - saved the best til last...

Don't forget that Vale has DNF'd four times this season, three of those to machinery/equipment failure, Haydon once, yet Vale still leads the championship.

Haydon has yet to beat Valentino in a straight race.

I agree that Jules and Toby are much the better commentators. It's just the length of the exceptionally boring and repetitive adverts that get me to switch over for a couple of minutes, then switch back.

It's going to be a long time to Valencia.

What a fantastic race, nobody seems to be mentioning what a t**t little Ped made of himself, although its got to be hard racing for him, being such a little fella and having Julian Ryder and Toby Moody constantly humping his leg...

To be fair, there was no way Rossi was going to catch Hayden at Laguna.

My race tickets for Valencia turned up a couple of days ago - and accomodation is sorted too! Hoorah!
