They come with black light pod surround, but found painting them easy to match the car.
Quite easy to fit as well once you manage to release the old ones...(a few self tappers and lots of black mastic!!)
the quad conversions are not the same as afterburners. they have one less light in each pod. the zertec guy has since disappeared. they come up from time to time. i was thinking about doing a new revised edition,just have not found the time!

Dean if I remember rightly there is a pdf file on the ratpac w/site giving details of how to fit "Zertec" lights, it also list all the part refs. of the Hella lights.
I wonder if the they would fit the standard TVR 4pod rear light cluster?

Yes thats the one, the part refs. on there match the part no.s on Hella's website have a scroll through www.hella.com/produktion/HellaUK/WebSite/MiscContent/Download/SpecialOE/Caravan_en.pdf

You can get what you like from Quad conversions.I ordered my pods from them three years ago and specified double afterburners in each pod. Edited by dean_ratpac on Monday 16th October 15:01

nice one! i forgot about that. i uploaded it when i bought my first set. the next set will have two sets of the LED rings.

Sorry to bump this but am interested in updating my rear lights to the later style ones, not the full afterburner job just the later TVR ones.
Just come across this however:

Which are cheap and look pretty much like the later TVR style and are cheap (did I mention the cheap bit)
Only thing is I think sadly it is a Fiesta mK3 light and these are mk4/5. I now note on that Zertec pdf thing that it mentions a Cavalier light??? Confused

Seriously, I didn't think they would be too bad once colour coded etc. Just wanted the updated look and once they were behind a lens (which are usually slightly smoked) I thought it would look quite stock albeit the later style like this:

Can't see ebay from work but i adapted mk4/5 fiesta 'afterburner' lights. Yes, as standard they are a bit cheap and plasticy (if thats a word!), but with a little effort and colour coding they certainly dont look out of place on the car IMHO...
But beauty is in the eye of the beholder eh

Have been toying with the idea of something along these lines myself. How hard was it to convert 4/5 kit to fit the Cerb?
I fancy something like this, but without having to fork out several hundred quid. A bit of time and effort (and paint!) and the job is done for a fraction of the cost. Plus I would have the satisfaction of doing it myself.

I remember the back of yours from a discussion about the front indicator thing (you had used a clear lens in the front as well). Must say I had forgotten about your rears until now, interesting to hear that you modded a Mk4 kit. There are different Mk3 kits on ebay which I guess would be a straight swap but they are all OTT and in your face in design, it was the 4 single lights that I liked about these and the fact they do look (IMO) not disimilar to the later style lights. Without seeing them side by side I would probably look at yours and think it was stock.
How much adapting was involved out of interest?
