Excellent news, both for Ducati and Stoner. This will help the Ducati team make the most of what seems to be shaping up to be a really tidy package.

I wonder what this will mean for Gibernau, as all the hot seats seem to be going already. As a side note, I've taken a real dislike to him over the last year and a half.........anyone else feel the same?

That'll be interesting. IIRC Sete crashed because Stoner crashed in front of him - how must he feel today?

Like he'd been knocked off by Stoner. Twice.

Has Sete bust his collarbone again? Jees, that must be knackered if that's the case..... didn't he have to have another operation th "re-set" it??! Oouch.

Agreed - lets just hope he can keep the Duke tyre side down!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was so disappointed when he dropped it on Sunday after such an amazing time in practice and qualifying. He's very talented but probably still a little *too* enthusiastic which leads him to make some 'schoolboy error' kinda mistakes.

The same kind of mistakes that Rossi was making at that age.

The Doctor did Sweatys head in years ago.

He could be OK in WSB, though.

Good news, Casey has a bright future in front of him I think.

Just hope he can fit into that team better than Troy Bayliss!

Sete isn't short of a buck or two AFAIK, so I don't think he'll be too upset. He'll probably start working with younger Spaniards to help them into the GP circus.

Melandri rumoured to be on a 3rd full works Honda for next year, most probably still run by Gresini but recieving full support from from Honda identically to what Pedrosa and Hayden will get. With Carlos Checa moving from Tech 3 Yamaha to the now empty seat (ex-Stoner) LCR Honda ride.

I like Stoner...To go as well as he has is amazing..and is a slightly more interesting personality than Pedrosa...Pity he`s not taken a win but he`s been close...
Better to have someone who is fast and crashes than someone who is not fast and doesn`t crash...He`s a hard rider but I`m not so sure the front end washout`s he`s been having will dissapear on the Duke...I wish him luck though...and I`m pleased he`s not been given the chop due to the sheer amount of talent looking for a ride in Moto gp..thumbup

Think Stoner has seen the times posted in test by the Duke GP7 800 for next season and thought I will have some of that ...thumbupthumbup

With Caparossi stating that the new 800 cc formula has to be ridden like a "large 250cc" I think that would of helped the 250cc guys like Stoner and not helped the likes of Sete G getting a signature on a Duke contract.

Good luck to Stoner.

I think that will be a very good team next year. I am not a Duc fan at all (My mate has 3 so I have to play Devils advocate) But those GP bikes sound fantastic.
