Axle props!?

Im in the process of getting my alloys refurbished and the workshop have said they will need them for three days. Im not really happy with leaving my car with them for the duration and since i dont have a spare set of wheels, thought about axle props, are they ok to use ? and if so does anyone know where I can get a set, thanks
