On track, so long as you make reasonable progress, dont spin, cut people up or generally drive like a tit you'll be fine.
In the theory test, theres isn't really anything that a motorsport fan with a bit of common sense and who's watched the Go Racing DVD/Video would have trouble with.
Best of luck.

Iain

Thanks everyone. I've just got back and I PASSED!
I took the test at Silverstone and had to wait around for 3 hours while the fog cleared. I sat in the waiting area and watched the 2003 F1 season highlights twice. (go on, ask me a question) The chap who took me out on the track was a really nice bloke who gave me a load of pointers on what he would be looking for. While I was going around the National curcuit a Bentley LeMans was using Stowe Curcuit, and a Renault F1 was using Club Curcuit. How many people can say they shared Silverstone with a Bentley LeMans and a Renault F1? I did about 12 laps in a Lotus Exige which was fun but nerve wracking cos I knew he was watching me. The written test went well. I was allowed to watch the video again before I answered the questions. I was in a room on my own with the question sheet and the video running. And I didn't cheat!! Now, to get a car, and go racing.

to be fair at club level i think all of the series/championships are a bit like a family with everyone mucjing in and being friendly, It only starts getting a bit serious when its a career or progression championship.
Formula V seams a cheap way to go single seater racing so enjoy.
[quote=cummingsa Apparently they've really tightened up on things now due to numpties killing themselves.

I Dont recall any novices being killed since i started racing in the last 5 years, and thankfully in that time the total number killed is low.
Every now and then they seem to tighten up the ards and then it relaxes a bit, Silverstone is the worse place for that <LOL> but i dont think the actual requirements for a pass have changed.
