The reflections on the bonnet are the same, the rivets on the sheeting above and below the wing mirror are in the same place and the shape of the light through the windscreens is the same. The only differences are the colour and the lack of numbr plate.

It's definitely the same car and the same pic but just recoloured imo.

I think you should have a polite word with them

I've just registered for their site so I can view the gallery and there are a whole load of shots of that Civic in front of that building but it appears to be yellow in them all.

Seems they did a shoot for Fast and Modified (which I'm taking to be a magazine).

There is no shot in the gallery that corresponds with your shot though Poah. I think they nicked it.

I took some shots for a calander for a cruise site up here last year but never gave the owner of the car permission to use it. there was another photographer there but it seems very unlikely that they would get the exact same shot

I have just found a pic of the car in orange on their site.

Wonder if they changed it to yellow for the shoot or whether they recoloured lots of pics.

I'm enjoying playing detective here!

Here is a shot from their gallery of the F&M shoot:

The car is different from in your shot. The no. plate has moved and the writing on the screen is different and it is yellow. So this shot was not taken on the same day as your shoot. Makes a stronger case for your image having been robbed to me.

There is quite a bit of sftware on the net that will allow you to put copyright information into a picture. You can't see the data visually, but the whole picture is infinitesimally altered in a very ordered manner.

If one were to take such an image, and simply change the colours, the information would remain. It's only buy cutting the original image into small small pieces, or doing a significant reduction in picture quality that the copyright information is removed.

On the other hand I think it's going to be quite hard to persue this myself. People copy icons whenever, and no-one seems to mind.

all you need to do is get the original pic and line it up with mine in photoshop. for one the guy taking the pics, Fraz, is using two fuji S2 pros I have a 20D so the number of pixels in the original image should be small if it is his pic.

Looks the same to me, can't see how they could reproduce the shot that exactly, or indeed why.

Poah, have you got other photos of the orange car from the same shoot? I take it the registration is the same? Why would that be, if they weren't the same car?

A16 VHO is certainly registered to a Honda Civic.

Hard to tell, but the bonnet graphics look the same in the banner and in your pics, but different from the yellow Civic. I would agree with everyone else, they have deffo used your image.

Hope you don't mind, just had a play with replace colour in Photoshop, and this is what I got:

If you look at the colours of the bricks, they end up the same colour as in the banner.

I think it's the same shot, even the tax disk has changed colour.

Good luck!

You're right. The writing on the bonnet is different too. On Poah's shot and the suspect shot, the word begins with an A (or a triangular motif that looks like a stylised A), whereas on the 'photoshoot' pic posted by matthew h, the word starts with a U.

It's Poah's shot on the banner, no doubt in my mind.

A successful appeal for copyright breach could result in you earning multiples of what Bob's earned with stock

Maybe this is a new path...
