Took a look at a Maserati 3200 today with a view to purchasing. Having seen and driven a few now, I noticed that after the engine was started the idling rpm oscillated around the 1,000 rpm mark for a couple of mins but then steadied out as the engine warmed up. Has anyone else experienced this with their 3200? Is it normal? The car is otherwise good with a good dealership history. Any suggestions?

same thing with my car, the dealer checked and found nothing to be wrong... with ac on, the rpm are stable at around 1000, with ac off idling around 1000 +- 100.

anything is normal for a 3200 ;-)
In truth any fuel injected car should have a rock-steady idle.
who wants to idle anyway - get moving.
