When did the dashboard change ??

I've just seen a 1991 H plate 350i for sale but its got the older style dashboard in it, the one with the 'box' at the bottom of the center console. I thought all the wedges changed to a one piece flat center console (if you know what I mean) around 1989/90 ?? Is this right or is it just because it was a model registered later maybe ??

IIRC the 350 was never fitted with the later 400 style dashboard.
