Yes. It is good, especially version 4 with inline editting. What do you want to know?
Just needed to know if it's any good or not - not got much time to research stuff before making a decision. What I've seen so far looks impressive but whatever CMS we choose it's going to need some serious customisation to meet the client's needs, not least of which is being able to publish content and documents from a secure intranet directly to a website on another server.
Joomla looks interesting. Only problems is the client has hinted very heavily that it needs to be a MS based solution (ie, .net/MS SQL Server architecture) as that's what their sysadmin is 'comfortable' with
So that puts some serious constraints on what building blocks we can use once you take the budget into account.

For a free point to start from with source code available (unfortunately in vb.net rather than c#) dnn is pretty decent. The url in my profile is a dnn site.

Nice, but way too expensive. Looking at open source for a reason
We also looked into plone before we knew about the MS requirements. But given that it's written in Python it's ruled itself out as we don't have the capability to do the customisation in the timeframe (*throws away Python for Dummies*
)We've used DNN in the past, the developers felt it was very clumbersome. We are now chucking stuff out with www.cuyahoga-project.net. Seems to be much better although not as much built in functionality. If you need resource let me know.

Not as slick as Joomla, got some nice features but isnt coded overly effeciently, needs some meat behind it...
Was it Mambo before?
Joomla was yeah.
Mambo got sold to IBM and the developers that didnt want to work for a corporate span off and set up Joomla.
Ok - got DotNetNuke installed and running. So far so good. Anyone know how to sort out portal alias problems? I've posted on the DNN forums but it often takes forever to get a reply, if you're lucky.
Anyone got any ideas?
Edit: all sorted now
The good news is that with the aid of some third party modules it will do 95% of what the client wants out of the box.

I've got a clean install of DNN 4.3.5 running on Windows Server 2003. There is no website or header configured for the default website in IIS and DNN is installed in a virtual directory off the default site called DotNetNuke. I can access DNN locally with localhost/dotnetnuke. In attempting to get things working over the 'net I have set up portal aliases in DNN for www.domainname.co.uk, the server's IP address and www.domainname.co.uk/dotnetnuke. The latter is the only one that works; the others just take me to the 'Under construction' page kicked out by the IIS for the default website. The question is what do I need to do to get the portal running on just the domain name without the /dotnetnuke being appended? Is it a caching issue with DNN? I've restarted the website and IIS several times with no joy. Is it an IIS issue? Something in the web.config file?
Anyone got any ideas?
