You're going to have problems there Nick. I don't understand it when people spend large amounts on average cars like that. it's almost as stupid as, say, buying an M3 but in vomit lime.

It sounds great but I'm afraid the car's market is going to be very small. Red isn't currently a popular colour, Autumn isn't the best time to sell a convertible, and most people looking for a £14k Porsche soft-top are going to be looking for a Boxster.

It might be worth waiting for the spring, and even then you'll really need to find a real 944 enthusiast. If you need to sell now I'd suggest a 28k mile 951 coupe might be £10k, and you could manage a small premium on this.

As others have said: it's simply too high a price

I'm pretty flexible on the price to be honest, I just don't want to under sell it.

What do you think would be a fair price David ?

I think you're advertising it in the wrong place. If the mileage is genuine, everything is 100% original, and all the history is in place, try an advert in Porsche Post, or 911 and Porsche world. Most people on here seem to drive newer stuff, being driving enthusiasts rather than Porsche nobs. You need to get to the beards to realise the true value.

I'm no expert, but I have seen a few around the 15k mark. The other comments are valid though, wrong time of year and you really need a 944 enthusiast or someone that understands what a turbo cab is and it's rarity. A friend of mine used to have one and I was prepared not to like it, having owned a coupe 944 turbo and loved it I figured the soft top would ruin it. Not so much, a great under appreciated car.

Personally a better buy than an early 2.5 Boxster, but that's because I like BOOOOOOOOOOST!!

Good luck with the sale, don't let it go for peanuts if you can afford to hang on. I have just sold my Targa for buttons and I'm still gutted.

It's got to be 8795 - 9995 on a trader's pitch, hasn't it? Which means it's probably a good 8500-9000 privately. Even with wonderfully low miles, it's still an old car and not highly collectible despite its rarity.

Just my 2p of guesswork I'm afraid.

Think under 10 is too low. The last 944T cab (that I knew) went for just under 9K (great condition but a lot more miles)

It really does look nice, I would try 12.5K and as other have said widen the scope of advertising

I still say get some Timothy Claypole stencils on each door, and try and flog it as the Harlequin Special Edition. Total Jester clap

Nicholas, stop wasting your money on flash cars which are actually a bit crap. It's not working with the ladies and you look like a plonker.

I'm not sure the miles will make a massive difference. Maybe a grand on top, but if I was buying a 944 turbo with very low mileage I'd worry it had been an underused garage queen... oil seals can dry out etc. with lack of use, causing potential problems. Does depend on the car, but unless it has been kept in shrinkwrap and is a collectible model, people probably put too much emphasis on 'low miles'. Average miles could actually be better to have.

Nick, I've always admired you from afar in that lovely motor of yours, i think you look special. Perhaps I can help, I'll come and recline over your bonnet, you can take some new photos and it'll sell real quick, mayne Mr Byers might start to find it appealing?
